Communicating Vessels was a multifaceted-two-year collaboration between Toronto artist Annie MacDonell and Paris artist Mäider Fortune, exploring the Italian Feminist writings of the Milan Women’s Bookstore Collective. The work consisted of a series of public programming, live events, lectures and performances that generated research.  This research culminated in an installation in early 2018.

We were excited to support this groundbreaking project at Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, which has a long history of providing a deeper level of support for emerging and mid-career artists at a pivotal moment in their practice.
