Partners in Art was thrilled to partner with The Bentway as they presented WATERLICHT, a monumental public art intervention designed by acclaimed Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde.

This large-scale light installation illustrates the universal power, poetry, and danger of water and had its North American public premiere in Toronto on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Waterlicht was a dream landscape created through the imaginative use of LEDs, special software, and lenses. Larger-than-life, cascading waves of blue light soared underneath the Gardiner Expressway, simulating a virtual flood and called attention to rising water levels along Toronto’s shoreline.
