Trinity Square Video and 8eleven Gallery co-presented a two-person exhibition that featured works by multimedia-artist Adrienne Crossman and ceramist Kaley Flowers. Crossman and Flowers are both heavily influenced by web communities and their aesthetics, as well as the various worlds that exist online as a way of creating and exploring virtual identities. The works presented in this exhibition mined the depths of the internet for “cyber artifacts” only to reinvent them. The imaginary worlds that the artists created subverted the usual ways pop culture characters and iconography are accessed in the mainstream today.
This project is supported by Partners In Art.
