Partners in Art is proud to support The Image Centre’s Steidl-TMU Canadian Photobook Award. This new, one-time prize will celebrate five photographers who represent the diversity of photographic excellence in Canada. Honourees will be announced in Spring 2024, following a nationwide search and selection process led by esteemed photography curator and writer Brian Sholis. In partnership with German publisher Steidl Verlag, the prize for each recipient will include a monograph, published and distributed worldwide by Steidl, featuring the artist’s work; a cash award of $8,000; and a group exhibition alongside the other prizewinners, held on the campus of Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in the context of the 2025 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival.
