In collaboration with the Power Plant, PIA sponsored a site-specific installation by Karla Black. The work spanned the entirety of both the Canadian Tire and McLean galleries of the Power Plant, with the separating walls removed to create a flowing, expanded space.

Black’s work has been described as messy, sensuous and visceral. She is concerned with the ways in which work operates and uses materiality to emphasize a physical relationship to the body as a means to affect our understanding of the world.
