In April 2013 PIA was presented with the MOCCA Award, a $25,000 prize that honours the accomplishment of innovators in the field of the visual arts. PIA granted the full $25,000 to the National Gallery of Canada in support of artist Shary Boyle’s participation in the 2013 Venice Biennale.
As part of the celebrations around this award, MOCCA and PIA commissioned Margaux Williamson, Luis Jacob, and Suzy Lake to create short videos celebrating PIA and its spirit of collaboration and education.
